Christmas-
Kids make Christmas! I am convinced of this. Having all three girls was so fun this year. The girls, actually Brooklynn-we had to wake Brynlee up, were awesome and let us sleep until about 7:30am and then ran down stairs to find their stockings. Brooklynn had ripped through all of her presents and Boston's by the time Brynlee had 3 opened, for some reason she was being so dainty with her unwrapping. The first toy Brynlee opened was a Nerf gun, something the had wanted ever since Joseph got one for his birthday in April, and the first words out of her mouth Christmas morning were "Yes, a kill thing!" Ha ha, I immediately thought of that saying "kids say the darnedest things". The girls loved their other stuff but running around the house shooting Nerf darts back and forth with Jeramey was definitely one of their favorite things of the day. After we finished at our house we went over to Jer's parents and then over to my parents where we got to talk to Andrew out in Washington DC. It was so fun to talk to him but made me miss him even more! I can't believe we still have another 14 MONTHS 'til he comes home!
I am sorry that I didn't get Christmas cards out this year, I had every intention of getting them out but it just never happened! So... I'm pulling the "I just had a baby card" and promise to do better next year!
New Years-
Danny, Jer's dad, was born on new year's eve so there is always a big party at the Street house but this year I had to work so Jer went with the girls. I hear it was lots of fun and the ER was definitely full of "interesting" stuff, so all in all it was a fun night. My resolutions this year are to eat healthier/exercise so I can finish getting rid of my baby weight and to write Andrew more. I came up with my own little workout regiment and am so excited to start seeing results!!
Brooklynn's Birthday-
Yesterday was Brooklynn's birthday! Jer and I are officially the parents of a 5 year old, I cannot believe it! All day Brooklynn kept asking me to sing the Happy Birthday song to her and she made sure to tell anyone and everyone that would listen that it was her 5th birthday. We took her and Brynlee to build-a-bear and that was adorable! I'll post pictures soon! Alexa, my cousin, was married on Saturday as well so we stopped by her reception and not only was the reception center absolutely beautiful but Alexa was stunningly beautiful! We really like her new husband Ben too so we are so happy for them. After the reception we went to Texas Roadhouse for Brooklynn's birthday dinner-she picked, I promise! All week she had been so excited for steak and to sit on the saddle and have the wait staff sing happy birthday to her. Well she sat on the saddle for about 10 seconds and as soon they had everyone's attention Brooklynn burst into tears. She calmed down as soon as she got down but didn't end up liking the attention like she thought. I felt so bad but I just could not stop laughing. The first picture here is Brooklynn before they started and the second is right before she burst into tears.
We're having her birthday party on Monday so I'm sure I'll have more fun stories soon and lots of pictures!
The resolution on these last two pictures is horrible but oh well...
Here are my little Monsters
Here's Brooklynn making fun of how often I need to pump!
This right here is why you do not allow 5yr olds to dress themselves!
Purple beanie, orange striped shirt, black (see-through) sequined ballet skirt and pink cowgirl boots!
